Global Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (GJISR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research that transcends traditional academic boundaries. It serves as a premier scholarly forum for global researchers, policy analysts, social scientists, physical scientists, and technological innovators to synthesize insights across diverse knowledge systems. GJISR prioritizes high-impact empirical research, cross-domain comparative analyses, socio-technical evaluations, complex systems models, and integrative conceptual frameworks. By bridging the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and emerging technologies, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how unified multidisciplinary frameworks can address complex, interconnected global challenges.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to champion integrated academic problem-solving, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic interdisciplinary reviews, complex systems evaluations, and multi-perspective empirical studies within the following thematic areas:
  • Socio-Technical & Digital Transformations: Societal impacts of emerging technologies, AI ethics frameworks, computational social science, cyber-physical dynamics, and digital governance.
  • Environmental Sustainability & Climate Resilience: Cross-disciplinary climate adaptation strategies, circular economy models, environmental policy frameworks, and socio-ecological system dynamics.
  • Global Health, Bioethics & Applied Sciences: Integrations of public health policy, bio-digital health technologies, environmental health metrics, and cross-sectoral biomedical research.
  • Interdisciplinary Policy, Governance & Economic Systems: Techno-economic modeling, cross-sectoral public policy design, global risk management paradigms, and institutional adaptation mechanisms.
  • Culture, Education & Humanistic Inquiry: Digital humanities, integrative pedagogical frameworks, socio-cultural evolution, and cross-cultural communication dynamics.
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of multidisciplinary research, GJISR is published semi-annually (3 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in February, June, October). Special thematic issues focusing on global climate resilience, digital education transformations, or cross-sectoral governance may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
GJISR enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity, analytical objectivity, and cross-disciplinary validity.

  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Interdisciplinary Subject Editor to assess cross-domain alignment, methodological soundness (quantitative modeling rigor, qualitative field depth, computational validity, or conceptual rigor), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.
  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers representing the distinct academic disciplines integrated within the paper.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, cross-disciplinary synergy, analytical clarity, and potential scientific or societal impact.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the Global Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (GJISR) is to foster a collaborative global ecosystem where diverse academic fields converge to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems. Grounded in the philosophy that meaningful innovation happens at the cross-sections of established disciplines, the journal aims to democratize multidisciplinary research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, technological, and policy dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous quantitative, qualitative, computational, and experimental methodologies, GJISR seeks to empower interdisciplinary researchers, inspire policy strategists, and shape future-proof, highly integrated academic paradigms worldwide."
