The Dalang Mask Dance in Manjungan Village, Klaten Regency, faces challenges due to developments in digital technology that may affect the survival of traditional arts. This situation calls into question efforts to enhance the profile of the Dalang Mask Dance so that it remains recognised and popular among younger generations. This study aims to describe efforts to enhance the presence of the Dalang Mask Dance as a cultural heritage in Manjungan Village and to identify the factors that support and hinder these efforts. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using data collection techniques such as observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that efforts to enhance the presence of the Dalang Mask Dance are carried out through the regeneration and mentoring of the younger generation as a step towards ensuring the sustainability of the artists; through training sessions and performances to increase the younger generation’s involvement and skills; through the use of digital media as a means of documentation and promotion; and through participation in arts festivals and competitions to introduce the Dalang Mask Dance to a wider audience. The MAGADA Art Studio plays a role in supporting the sustainability of the art form through training and development activities for artists. Supporting factors include community and parental support, the existence of the studio, economic opportunities, and the use of digital media. Meanwhile, the constraints include the impact of the pandemic and the limited interest shown by the younger generation in traditional arts. Therefore, efforts to enhance the presence of the Dalang Mask Dance must be carried out on an ongoing basis through regeneration, training, performances, the use of digital media, and community support.
