Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased the need for marketplace platforms that can efficiently manage multiple tenants within a single ecosystem. This study aims to design and implement a Next.js-based multi-tenant e-commerce information system with an integrated payment gateway to support administrators, tenants, and customers. The system was developed using the Prototype method through iterative design, development, and user evaluation. The proposed system integrates role-based dashboards, centralized data management, and the Midtrans payment gateway with automated payment status updates and notifications. System validation using black-box testing showed that all core functions operated according to the specified requirements. User evaluation further indicated that the system effectively supported store management, transaction processing, and online payment activities with satisfactory performance. This study contributes a practical implementation model for developing a Next.js-based multi-tenant e-commerce platform that integrates user management, transaction processing, payment services, and notification mechanisms within a unified architecture. The proposed model can serve as a reference for developing independent marketplace platforms, particularly for educational institutions and MSME communities.
