Abstract

This article explores the critical role of strategic management and visionary leadership in Islamic educational institutions as they navigate the multifaceted challenges of globalization. Utilizing a qualitative literature review approach, the study analyzes contemporary scholarly works to examine the processes of strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation within the context of Islamic education. The findings indicate that globalization presents significant challenges, including the erosion of moral values, rapid technological shifts, and increased competition, which demand adaptive and innovative responses. The research highlights that effective strategic management, encompassing global-oriented vision and mission setting, curriculum development, and technology integration, is essential for institutional survival and growth. Furthermore, the study underscores the pivotal role of transformative and servant leadership in fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and resilient academic environment. The discussion reveals that Islamic educational institutions must address internal weaknesses and external threats by adopting participatory, data-driven management approaches and forging strategic collaborations. It is concluded that by synergizing robust strategic management with strong, adaptive leadership, these institutions can not only withstand global pressures but also become pioneers in cultivating morally grounded, lifelong learners with global competitiveness. Continuous renewal of management systems and leadership paradigms is imperative for maintaining relevance and excellence in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world.
