Mendidik Hati, Mencerdaskan Akal: Formulasi Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Al-Qur'an Menghadapi Hegemoni Budaya Global

Abstract

Global cultural hegemony in the era of digital disruption has triggered serious moral decay, demanding a fundamental reconstruction of the Islamic character education system. This study aims to formulate an ideal character education framework titled “Educating the Heart, Enlightening the Mind,” based on the noble values of the Qur’an, in order to address the challenges of globalization. The research method employed is a qualitative approach in the form of a literature review (library research) using in-depth content analysis. The results reveal that students’ moral resilience can be optimally achieved through the harmonious integration of the al-jismiyah (physical) and ruhiyah (spiritual) dimensions. Through the application of QS. Al-Baqarah:151 and QS. Al-Isra:36, modern institutions are required to synergize the process of spiritual purification (tazkiyah) with the sharpness of critical reasoning. Furthermore, the transdisciplinary neuroscience approach in QS. Al-‘Alaq:1–5 demonstrates the cognitive-moral stimulation derived from reading, while al-Sulamī’s Sufi epistemology successfully strengthens the inner affective aspect through pure sincerity of heart. Various Qur’anic educational methodologies—such as narratives (qashash), exhortations (mau’izhah), parables (amsal), and dialogue—are fully implemented to shift the digital discourse from merely shaping public opinion to authentically shaping character. The conclusions of this research offer a new theoretical roadmap for the development of a holistic, adaptive, and globally competitive moral curriculum.
