Although domestic conflict has received increasing attention in prior studies, research specifically addressing the structural breakdown of family dynamics from an Islamic psychological perspective remains limited. This study aims to identify the phases of domestic conflict, analyze the psycho-spiritual factors triggering divorce, and formulate preventive and curative solutions based on Islamic psychology. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature study/case study design, involving couples and family counselors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using documentation and semi-structured interviews and analyzed with thematic analysis. The findings indicate that divorce is an accumulation of unresolved conflicts transitioning through four main phases (Latency, Trigger, Escalation, Crisis), heavily driven by the dominance of nafs al-ammarah, spiritual cognitive distortions (su'uzhan and hasad), and the dysfunction of qiwamah and ita'ah. These results contribute to the theoretical development of Islamic psychology and expand the understanding of family resilience. The study concludes that psycho-spiritual maturity plays a crucial role in preventing marriage dissolution and recommends that family counselors integrate spiritual-based interventions alongside modern behavioral approaches.
