Global Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation (GJIRI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research that bridges traditional academic boundaries to drive actionable, real-world innovation. Positioned as a premier scholarly forum for cross-disciplinary advancement, the journal serves natural and social scientists, engineers, technology developers, humanities scholars, and global policy analysts worldwide. GJIRI prioritizes high-impact empirical research, socio-technical systems evaluations, complex scientific modeling, and integrative frameworks that translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions. By synthesizing insights across diverse knowledge domains, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how integrated research paradigms and technological convergence accelerate systemic innovation and address complex global challenges.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to champion cross-domain research and transformative innovation, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic interdisciplinary reviews, complex systems modeling, and applied empirical studies within the following thematic areas:

  • Emerging Technologies & Digital Innovation: Artificial intelligence integration across disciplines, computational modeling, cyber-physical systems, and the socio-economic impacts of digital transformation.
  • Sustainable Innovation & Eco-Systems: Interdisciplinary climate adaptation technologies, circular economy models, environmental data analytics, and socio-ecological resilience frameworks.
  • Bio-Innovation & Integrated Health Systems: Convergence of bio-engineering and public health, digital medical technologies, bioinformatics, and cross-sectoral epidemiological dynamics.
  • Socio-Economic Innovations & Global Policy: Science-to-policy translation, techno-economic impact modeling, global risk governance, and social entrepreneurship ecosystems.
  • Human-Centric Research & Future Paradigms: Digital humanities, cognitive sciences, integrative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) pedagogy, and human-computer interaction.
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of multidisciplinary research, GJIRI is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in August and February). Special thematic issues focusing on disruptive technological innovations, global sustainability transitions, or AI-driven cross-disciplinary research may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
GJIRI enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity, methodological precision, and cross-disciplinary validity.

  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Interdisciplinary Subject Editor to assess cross-domain alignment, methodological soundness (quantitative modeling rigor, qualitative field depth, computational validity, or experimental repeatability), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.
  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers representing the distinct academic disciplines and innovative practices integrated within the research.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, interdisciplinary synergy, empirical accuracy, and potential for scalable innovation or societal impact.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Global Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation (GJIRI) is to catalyze global progress by providing an open platform where diverse academic fields converge to formulate innovative, evidence-based solutions. Grounded in the philosophy that tomorrow's greatest breakthroughs require the dismantling of traditional disciplinary silos, the journal aims to democratize multidisciplinary research and connect theoretical inquiry with practical application. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous quantitative, qualitative, computational, and experimental methodologies, GJIRI seeks to empower global researchers, inspire forward-thinking innovators, and shape future-proof, highly integrated scientific and societal paradigms worldwide.
